Hospitality Program Blessing

“Built with Aloha,” our hospitality carts are an extension of RMHC Hawaii's programs and services and will be hosted in hospital NICU waiting rooms. The carts, stocked with waters, individually wrapped snacks, K–Cup Pods for coffee and hot chocolate, and activity items for adults and children, will be run by RMHC Hawaii volunteers (link to volunteer page, hospitality carts). The carts are intended to help NICU and pediatrics visitors feel more comfortable and able to focus on the health and recovery of their keiki. The first RMHC hospitality cart in Hawaii was launched at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center, with the help of Dr. Lois Chiu, Chief of Neonatology, Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, and Chair of RMHC Hawaii's Board of Directors.

RMHC currently offers this service at other hospitals in the U.S. and other countries. But this is the first time RMHC Hawaii will host hospitality carts in Hawaii hospitals.
