How You Can Help

You can volunteer your talents in many ways to help our mission

The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Hawaii (RMHC-HI) volunteers are the foundation of our House. As a volunteer, you assist us in many remarkable ways from administrative duties to light house cleaning. By contributing your time to volunteer, you will enable us to continue our mission to help families with seriously ill children.

Volunteer Opportunities at Ronald McDonald House

Host Lunch or Dinner

Open to individuals, groups, families, keiki

Help make our House a “home away from home” by hosting a hot meal for our families staying at our Judd and Oahu House. Cook at our House, pot luck style or cater. Bring your ingredients, your Ohana and your passion for cooking.

Host Bake Day

Treat our families to batch of your delicious baked goods. Bring yourself or group—your ingredients will fill our House will the smell of warm baked treats.

Host Special Activities

Host a special activity for our families at our House; host arts and crafts, dance hula, certified professionals: yoga, salon services, massage, family photo session, etc. are welcome.

Extra Hands

Support our House Managers with any “extras” around the house; maintain a clean and safe environment for our ill keiki with light cleaning, restocking, organizing, administrative tasks or even help decorating our House for a holiday, etc.

House Services

Greet house visitors, community members, accept donations, assist with house activities and administrative tasks.

Volunteer Program

Provide administrative support as our program seeks community partnerships to recruit and sustain volunteers and interns.

IT

Use your professional or savvy IT skills to assist with day–to–day resolution for equipment, network and programs.

Office

Support our team by assisting with daily office operations, scanning, filing, copies, etc.

Newsletter and Mailing

Assist with preparing our quarterly newsletter and mailings for mail out, envelope inserts and stuffing envelopes.

Special Events

Special events throughout the year provide funds to maintain our home away from home for our families and house programs. Energetic individuals will assist with follow up calls, special events and fundraising events throughout the year including our annual Golf Tournament and Gala.
